If you haven't heard the latest hoopla in yet another Media mis-marketing oversight...then check out this article about Vanity Fair's "New Hollywood" issue.

I personally think a lot of people (in media) are a little racially over-sensitive, but sometimes their claims do have merit. Unfortunately, where they tend to lose people being receptive to their outcries are in those overly sensitive displays.
I will say this, however (and my disclaimer is that I'm no die hard Zoe Saldana fan or anything), but it seems like with a blockbuster like Star Trek (which just released that there will be a sequel, meaning she will be most likely be "up and coming" in yet another blockbuster) and the fact that she's also the leading lady in what looks to soon be the biggest blockbuster of all-time, the Cuban descent actress (I'm pretty sure I heard she was Cuban) should prooooobably have been the first girl picked for that Cover. Other than that, I don't know. Just saying!
...And hey, if you are one of those people who don't consider blockbuster roles "quality" roles, then maybe her being left out should be seen as a compliment because she's in a whole 'nother league. Sure, critical acclaim is rewarding, but I bet knowing that you reach a ton of fans...and that they approve...is pretty damn rewarding too.
